Frequently asked questions
A practical starting point for understanding what to expect before contacting the office.
Do I need to travel to Jordan to begin?+
Not necessarily. Many matters can begin with a remote consultation and clear next steps. Some procedures, identity checks or court requirements may still require personal attendance.
How does a US or Canada power of attorney work?+
We can guide you through preparing the document, signing it before the relevant embassy or notary, any required legalization, and registration in Jordan. Exact steps vary by embassy and the purpose of the POA.
How are inheritance shares determined?+
Shares depend on the family members who survive the deceased and the applicable Jordanian law. A review of the family circumstances and relevant documents is needed before giving specific guidance.
Can you check a case, warrant or travel ban before I travel?+
We can make an inquiry through available official channels. Access and results depend on the official records and procedures available; we cannot guarantee completeness or predict a border-entry decision.
Is payment collected when I submit a request?+
No. Prices shown are provisional demonstration prices. Stripe is disabled and no amount is charged. A live calendar booking reserves your selected slot; a request-mode submission still needs office confirmation.
How is my information handled?+
Please share only a brief summary in the public intake form and do not attach sensitive documents or identity numbers. Any further information is discussed after the office responds and engagement is considered.
What languages are consultations available in?+
Consultations are available in English and Arabic. Tell us your preferred language in your request.
What happens after I submit?+
With live calendar booking, the selected time is reserved and you receive a calendar invitation with Google Meet details. In request mode, the office reviews your preferred date and time and contacts you to confirm availability.
Do you handle both Shari’a and Nizami matters?+
Yes. The office works across matters heard by Jordanian Shari’a and Nizami courts. The appropriate scope depends on the facts, records and competent authority involved.
What should I prepare before a consultation?+
Prepare a brief timeline and your main questions, and keep relevant records available. Do not send sensitive documents or identity numbers through the public request form.
Does submitting a request make the office my lawyer?+
No. A request or initial consultation does not itself confirm representation. Any ongoing engagement depends on the office reviewing and accepting the matter and agreeing the terms with you.
Can the team follow up in Jordan while I am abroad?+
For matters accepted by the office, the Jordan team can coordinate local next steps. Some procedures may still require your attendance, original documents or a properly completed power of attorney.
